These terms apply when you buy from Unique Pearl at uniquepearl.com. By placing an order you agree to them, together with our privacy policy.
Our pieces
- Every pearl we sell is a cultured pearl, set in 14K or 18K gold as described on each piece's page.
- Pearls are natural gems grown in living oysters and mussels, so color, overtone, size and surface vary slightly from pearl to pearl and from the photographs. Sizes and weights are approximate.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. Delivery is complimentary.
- We accept major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link and, for monthly payments, Affirm (subject to Affirm's own terms and approval).
- If a price on our site is plainly wrong, we will tell you before we charge you, and you may cancel.
How your order is accepted
- When you order, your card is authorized, not charged. A pearl specialist checks every order, including that the piece is ready to ship and that the payment is genuine.
- Your order is accepted when we charge your card and email you a confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order before then, for example if a piece is no longer available or we cannot verify the payment. If we do, the hold on your card is released and nothing is charged.
- We may ask you to confirm your identity before we accept a large order.
Delivery
We deliver within the 50 states and Washington, DC, to street addresses only, with insured 2-day delivery and a signature. See shipping and returns for the details. The risk of loss passes to you when the order is delivered and signed for.
Returns and warranty
You may return unworn pieces in their original packaging within 30 days of delivery, with our free insured label. Pieces that were resized or engraved for you are final sale. Every piece carries our one-year craftsmanship warranty.
Using our site
- The photographs, text, designs and the Unique Pearl name and logo belong to us. Please do not copy them for commercial use.
- Please don't misuse the site, try to break its security, or place orders in someone else's name.
Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any order is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. If you have a concern, please write to us first: most things are solved quickly.
